McCain Foods were not satifised that they were doing the best they could on energy efficiency for there food production processes.
A DETA run energy management programme which includes site energy audits, monthly meetings, energy steering group facilitation to maintain a strong focus on cost reduction and developing energy savings projects that can be implemented.
The energy management programme provided McCain Foods with energy savings of 4.9 GWh and carbon savings of 1,800 tonnes. Along side this, successful projects such as the blast tunnel optimisation were also implemented.
