PROBLEM

Kraft Heinz identified energy consumption as a significant cost to their business and asked DETA Consulting to help reduce it.

SOLUTION

DETA worked with Kraft Heinz over four years and across three sites as part of an energy management programme. Here DETA identified, developed and delivered projects that reduced utility consumption. Reporting was also provided to the Asia-Pacific region as part of Kraft Heinz's significant utility cost reduction targets.

OUTCOME

DETA's delivered projects reduced utility consumption across the three sites by more than 6%. This included the implementation of minor capital projects such as blast tunnel optimisation, boiler blow down projects, metering upgrades, and fan, compressed air and pump optimisation projects. Overall, due to the energy management programme, there have been 15.7 GWh of annual verified energy savings and 2,800 tonnes of annual carbon savings.
